Forge's workout flow is simple.  First, add a workout.

  • Hundreds of exercises for the gym and outdoors.
  • Flip back to previous exercises to help you plan out your next workout.
  • Easily copy one of your past workouts.

Set up your exercises and sets.

  • Set your goals in reps, weight, time etc.

  • Change sets as you work - maybe you can lift more, or run further, or maybe you're tired and need to pull back.

 
 

Start your work out

  • Track the overall time of your workout.

  • Mark of each set as you complete it.  Never lose track of a where you are in a workout.  Edit your workout on the fly.

  • Flip back to your previous workouts from your active one.  Helps keep your efforts in context.
  • Flip to the right to fire up the timer.  Countdown from four different presets (which can be adjusted with a long-press), or run the stopwatch.
 
 

End your workout.

  • Your data will be safely stored away and, if enabled, will be synced to your other devices running Forge.

  • See all your completed workouts next to one another just by swiping left and right.
 
 

Track your workout on your Apple Watch instead of your phone.

  • If you don't want to get your phone all sweaty then launch the Apple Watch Forge app and run through your sets right from your wrist.  

  • As you mark each set off you automatically see a rest timer (with selectable presets).  

  • The Watch app will activate a HealthKit workout meaning it'll track your heart rate and energy burned, which will count towards your Activity rings.
 
 

See your progress.

  • From the workout screen, tap the menu button next to an exercise name and from there you can access the stats screen for that exercise.  

  • See stats about weight, volume, reps, time with scrollable graphs to help you assess your progress.

  •  In future versions of Forge this valuable data will be leveraged in even more interesting ways to help you find ways to hone your efforts.
 
 

Track your weight.

  • Track and graph your weight daily.  

  • Set a goal range to help push you to where you want to be.

 
 

Choose your outfit.

  • Forge has tons of outfits to change its appearance to reflect it's user.  They're all free and more are added all the time.

 

Run Forge on multiple devices.

  • Available with an in-app subscription.  This allows you to see your workouts and other data across multiple iOS devices running Forge for 6 months.  This feature is absolutely not necessary for getting the most out of Forge; most users will use their everyday iPhone or iPod touch at the gym.  This is for people who might use their old device at the gym and leave their everyday one in their locker.  The reason this is an in-app subscription is because it incurs a running cost for the developer and would not be sustainable otherwise.
